On June 10th of this year, the training supervised by our teacher Pascal OLIVIER was filmed in the dojo of the club at Ozoir La Ferriere.
The DVD of a duration of 33 minutes should be diffused in the stand of the club VSOP Aikido, during the forum of the associations which, traditionally takes place at the beginning of September for the registrations of the new season.
You have several ways to get yourself the DVD from now on.
Size image is about 1.5 giga-bytes. Thus the download is quite long but possible if you have a DSL/cable network .
Name: aikido20080610-cours.iso
Size: 1.4GB (1488715776 bytes)
Name: aikido20080610-cours.md5sum
Size: 59Bytes (59 bytes)
The DVD is also shared on p2p with the bitTorrent protocol.
If plan you to use this method, keep sharing the file iso.
The later downloads will be faster for others.
Name: aikido20080610-cours.torrent
The sharing does not use tracker. Mode (DHT). Add therefore in your BitTorrent software, the client 88.171.244.96.
maximum bandwidth allocation is 40kb/sec.
By September, I am ready to burn the DVD 'on demand'. Lend me a blank DVD (4.7 GB) for a week.
Extract DVD. Compilation of sequences aikido by Pascal Olivier.

I don't resist to share an interesting discovery on the Net.
Surfing on internet, I came, quite by chance, on the site aikido3d.com.
Fervent follower of simulators on computer, the curiosity urged me to interest me, closer, in this unique simulator. The site not proposing a trial version, I bought it. Once installed, the program (in French and english languages) is used as a dictionary of miscellaneous techniks of aikido. Beside comments video sequence in three dimensions are the main interest of the software.
The grips of aikido were captured with the same type of technologies which allow to build the videos games in 3D (' 3D motion capture') sequences are thus realistic and instructive. The various points of view of camera, speed of customizable execution, "Hakama" of visible / invisible Uke / Tori, positions of feet during the movements, help the follower in the analysis of the movements.
I invite you to visit the site aikido3d.com And better, get this software. 40 euros are perfectly justified. A Macintosh version is also available. The version of the program under Windows works perfectly with the environment wine under Linux (tested on ubuntu 8.04). The cover of the main operational systems is thus complete, you will not have excuses anymore to get it.
Best regards

I thank warmly all the participants of the training of yesterday evening. The session, intense and spectacular, was filmed with a new digital recorder device. 'Rushes' will allow to build a video clip of about twenty minutes.
This last one will be played during the days of registration for the new season 2008-2009, during the fair to the associations which will take place the weekend of September 6th and 7th, 2008.
The video will be available on those who wish it. I shall speak about it in a next message.
In the meantime, I realized some photographic pictures to test the device. The camescope obviously has no qualities of a true camera. The quality of the images is thus a little bit weak. The aikido being a discipline where everything is in permanent and fast movements, I tried to take series of photos. The technical limits of the photographic mode of the camescope were reached. To you to judge.

A system of RSS has been established for those who want to follow additions of videos.
I recommend Netvibes for people who do not still have one.
