I don't resist to share an interesting discovery on the Net.
Surfing on internet, I came, quite by chance, on the site aikido3d.com.
Fervent follower of simulators on computer, the curiosity urged me to interest me, closer, in this unique simulator. The site not proposing a trial version, I bought it. Once installed, the program (in French and english languages) is used as a dictionary of miscellaneous techniks of aikido. Beside comments video sequence in three dimensions are the main interest of the software.
The grips of aikido were captured with the same type of technologies which allow to build the videos games in 3D (' 3D motion capture') sequences are thus realistic and instructive. The various points of view of camera, speed of customizable execution, "Hakama" of visible / invisible Uke / Tori, positions of feet during the movements, help the follower in the analysis of the movements.
I invite you to visit the site aikido3d.com And better, get this software. 40 euros are perfectly justified. A Macintosh version is also available. The version of the program under Windows works perfectly with the environment wine under Linux (tested on ubuntu 8.04). The cover of the main operational systems is thus complete, you will not have excuses anymore to get it.
Best regards
